I checked the reviews on different grinders before purchasing this unit. the guy who wrote that this is a real grinder hit him on the head. It has plenty of power and ground up as fast as I can stuff in fresh pork. I don't know if it has steel gears inside but it's all in the grinding head made of cast iron with a silver plating and a very good quality.
